Humanitarian Medicine Conference

This July, an international conference on Humanitarian Medicine will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel and will be attended by dozens of students from around the world.

The HMC 2010 (Humanitarian Medicine Conference) offers students the rare opportunity to learn from the rich experiences of experts in their field. Top speakers will present a wide range of medical humanitarian aid activities through fascinating panels, lectures and tours and will present amongst others, military humanitarian missions to disaster stricken areas, unique techniques implemented into field medicine and cutting edge developments designed to improve medical care. We will also discuss ethical and moral issues arising while providing humanitarian aid during both times of conflict and crisis. The social events will provide students with the opportunity to meet and interact with their peers from around the world.

The conference is organized by a group of students from Tel Aviv University who take part in the StandWithUs Fellowship program, which empowers active students to become future leaders, in cooperation with the Tel Aviv University student union.
